Fantasy Flight Games has announced an expansion for one of my favourite board games: Star Wars Rebellion. The expansion will cover the story line from Rogue One.

The game is scheduled to be released in the third quarter of 2017. So it will be a good game to play over Christmas 
Dieses Jahr habe ich etwas feines zu Weihnachten bekommen. Ein Stück Achtziger-Jahre Nostalgie.
Die Captain Future Box enthält nicht nur die komplette ZDF Fassung der Serie, sondern auch das Japanische Original. Das ist ja bekanntlich ein Viertel länger, weil das deutsche Fernsehen damals stark geschnitten hat.
Wie sich jetzt für mich herausstellte wurden eben nicht nur die Szenen geschnitten die für Kinder ungeeignet erschienen (wo Leute erschossen wurden), sondern auch ganze Storyabschnitte, wie zum Beispiel die Hintergrundgeschichte von Curtis Newton aka Captain Future. Die Namen sind leicht anders, entsprechend der Romanvorlage. Schön
Seit ich das erste Mal einen M&M Spender gesehen habe, wollte ich auch einen fürs Büro. In Essen auf der Spielemesse habe ich dann etwas passendes gefunden.
Dabei hat mich besonders gefreut, dass ich keinem Kollegen erklären musste, was ein Jawa ist. Hier arbeiten anscheinend doch mehr SW Fans als beim DLR.
Ich habe jetzt neulich Legion: Skin Deep von Brandon Sanderson gelesen. Schöne Geschichte, der erste Teil (Legion) hat mir allerdings besser gefallen.
Ist das “Urban Fantasy”, Science-Fiction oder ein Abenteuerroman? Bis auf die seltsame “Geisteskrankheit” des Protagonisten könnte es jedenfalls beinahe in der realen Welt spielen. Sehr zu empfehlen.
This Monday I went to the movies and saw Interstellar. When discussing Guardians of the Galaxy I wrote that I am curious whether the Battle of the Five Armies will top Guardians of the Galaxy as my movie of the year. Early in the movie I knew it is Interstellar and I don’t have to see the hobbit beforehand to decide that.

In the school scene, of which you can see parts in the trailer, there is this great dialoge, where the protagonist gets annoyed with the school teacher, who tells him that in modern school books the “truth” about the Apollo moon landings is printed, which is they were a fake to bring down the Soviet Union. Here is what Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin has to say about that:
Anyway, the film was really great. The only thing I didn’t quite understand is how the anti-gravitation drive (or whatever they were researching the whole movie) was supposed to beat the crop diseases that were causing starvations. I suppose isolating the crops on a huge farming space station should do the trick. Ok.
