November 19th, 2017I once again bought some model aircraft.
This time I also bought a bomber. The model cost 4 times as much as a fighter but it’s also 4 times as heavy.
Looks actually quite nicely done.
Spiel 2017
October 30th, 2017This year I went again to the Spiel fair in Essen. I spent most of the time at the booth of my brother. The new game Albedo sold out quickly but a kick starter campaign for a second edition is currently running.
This year I bought only a handful of games.
I did however spend some money on scenery for WH40K.
What I never realised before is that there are apparently some official tournaments, like the world championship for Carcassonne.
Some booths, as usual, attract customers with costumed staff or puppets.

Sturmschaden
September 13th, 2017I think Sturmschaden is a nicer word than storm loss, which is what this is literally about. This morning I walked to my car with some Star Wars Armada squadrons in a plastic bag. We plan to play a campaign game this evening. Just when I reached my car a gust of wind blew the bag out of my hand. The contents quickly scattered in several directions on the ground.
Due to today’s storm I lost about 70% of the miniatures, since I couldn’t recover the tiny little starfighters from the similar colored parking lot. Also the notes I had prepared are basically gone with the wind….
